Radio Imaging and Radio Voice Overs

Radio imaging and radio voice overs are everywhere in the advertisement world. Everyday you hear radio imaging for various stations, and radio voice overs for car ads, bank ads, hospital ads, and hundreds of others. Some might spark your interest, and others, well, that's what the mute button is for.

Voice talent usually doesn't have much to do with the written copy of the radio voice overs that we are required to read. After all, as voice talent we are being hired by a client to sell their product, but not to tell them how to sell it. Therefore, we do the best radio voice overs we can with whatever copy we are given so that you'll be RAISING the volume to the advertisement instead of hitting the mute button.

I've had the good fortune of never being typecast as simply a "radio voice" or "announcer" due to the experience and versatility I've acquired over the years. Some of the radio voice overs and radio imaging I've done include explaining the importance of parental controls for media from a mothers perspective, informing you of great buys at the local grocery, describing the anguish of losing a child to drowning, telling you about great prices on new car models, and even performing comedy spots with male partners. The wide variety of radio imaging and radio voice overs I have done keeps me on my toes, and keeps my acting skills sharp as a blade.
