Voice Over Narration

Many believe that voice over narration involves simply telling a story that is either fact or fiction. However, there is more to a good voice over narrator than meets the ear. We've all sat slowly nodding off in our chairs listening to a boring voice over narrator describe the mating habits of the Tse Tse Fly. Luckily, not every voice over narrator is that monotonous. Voice over narration the Janet Ault way is EXCITING, INTERESTING, and ENTERTAINING (even if I AM narrating the mating habits of the Tse Tse fly!) The responsibility of the voice over narrator is to keep you interested and hopefully awake!

Voice over narration uses a variety of techniques to keep you awake and engrossed, which include: word pictures and carefully placed inflection, pauses for effect, faster pace when needed, precise pronunciations, and so on and so forth.

Extensive voice over narration is one of my many specialties. I enjoy the challenge it requires to be a practiced voice over narrator, and I make it my mission to keep errors to a minimum.
